Plastemart reported that Assam Petrochemicals Limited plans to build new methanol plant at Namrup, with production capacity of 165,000 tons per year. The product will be distributed for India’s domestic market.
For this methanol plant, Assam Petrochemicals Limited invests approximately US$ 125 millions.
Unfortunately, for this project Assam Petrochemicals is still waiting natural gas allocation.
